Job summary

Omega Healthcare Management Services seeks an Internal Auditor to review physician services medical records for coding accuracy, ensuring ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and APC alignment. You will leverage audit tools and Excel templates to drive quality reporting for clients and Omega management.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years HIM coding and 2+ years auditing, with AHIMA/AAPC certification and experience with Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, and other EMR systems. On-site role in Boca Raton, FL.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent training completed.
• AHIMA/AAPC Coding Certificate is required or preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years HIM coding experience.
• Minimum of 2 years total audit experience with 1 year current audit experience.
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with HIM electronic medical systems such as Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Optum 360, BOX, ReviewMate.

Responsibilities

• Review physician services medical records for coding accuracy and data quality.
• Identify POA, discharge disposition and modifier assignment trends.
• Utilize audit software or Excel templates for data collection and reporting.
• Maintain auditing productivity per client and Omega requirements.
• Prepare Quality Review reports and submit to coder and management.
