Job summary

YO AI Labs is seeking experienced Medical Coders to contribute to an AI project by annotating medical records and ensuring accurate ICD-10 and CPT coding.

You will review documentation, apply E/M guidelines, and provide expert feedback to improve dataset quality, with an emphasis on accuracy, compliance, and clear written and verbal communication.

This remote contractor role requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.

In this role, you will review and annotate medical records, evaluate coding accuracy, and provide expert feedback to support the development of high-quality medical datasets. No prior AI experience is required—your coding expertise and attention to detail are what matter most.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and annotate medical records to accurately assign ICD-10 and CPT codes based on clinical documentation.

• Apply Evaluation & Management (E&M) guidelines to assess coding levels and validate healthcare datasets.

• Ensure compliance with current medical coding standards and guidelines.

• Analyze clinical documentation and identify coding-related ambiguities or inconsistencies.

• Provide expert feedback on coding guidelines, edge cases, and documentation scenarios.

• Collaborate with project teams through written and verbal communication to improve AI training data quality.
