Job summary

Hope Network is seeking a Medical Coder to accurately code professional healthcare services, review clinical documentation, and ensure compliance with CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10 and E/M coding guidelines.

You will collaborate with providers and Revenue Cycle teams to support accurate reimbursement, reduce claim denials, and maintain coding integrity, while pursuing ongoing education and staying current with payer requirements.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Business, Finance, Health Administration, or related field.
• Current professional coding certification (CPC, CCS-P, or equivalent)
• Two to four years of professional medical coding experience
• Experience coding CPT/HCPCS/ICD-10 and E/M
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic billing systems
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel to Hope Network locations

Responsibilities

• Review and assign CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, and E/M codes.
• Ensure coding complies with national guidelines and payer requirements.
• Query providers to clarify documentation for accurate code selection.
• Review and resolve coding-related claim edits, denials, and payer rejections.
• Collaborate with providers, billing teams, and leadership to improve coding accuracy and reimbursement.
• Analyze coding trends and prepare reports to support operational improvements.
• Provide coding education and guidance to providers and staff.
• Assist with special projects and revenue cycle initiatives.
