Qualifications

• Certifications required: CPC, COC, CIC, CCS-P, CCS, RHIT, RHIA.

Responsibilities

• Code inpatient, outpatient, and professional fee encounters using ICD-10/ICD-PCS, CPT, or HCPCS codes.
• Apply regulatory coding guidelines and CPT modifiers to ensure compliant billing.
• Review and resolve coding-related billing edits and educate stakeholders as needed.
• Serve as a coding expert and liaison for coding and billing staff; participate in audits and process improvements.
