Job summary

Aptive Resources seeks an experienced Medical Coder in the United States to code outpatient encounters using ICD-10-CM, CPT-4, and HCPCS Level II.

The ideal candidate holds CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, or RHIA credentials, has at least 2 years of outpatient coding experience, and is able to obtain a federal background clearance. US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• Active CPC, CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, or CPC-H credential.
• At least 2 years of outpatient coding experience.
• US citizenship and ability to pass a federal background investigation.

• Assign E/M levels, apply NCCI edits and modifiers, and ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain 95% accuracy and meet facility turnaround times.
