This is a full-time, remote position with a pay range of $25.80 - $38.70 per hour, depending on experience.

Job Description

Responsible for assigning codes for medical diagnoses and procedures using ICD-10 and PCS classifications. Collaborates with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate coding and supports quality measures. Requires critical thinking and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Review accounts and assign ICD-10 and PCS codes accurately.
• Collaborate with physicians, CDI, and Quality teams to ensure complete and accurate coding.
• Partner with Compliance to clarify coding issues.
• Engage in continuing education to enhance coding skills.

Minimum Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Coding certification from AHIMA or AAPC; CCS preferred.
• At least 1 year inpatient coding experience or 3 years outpatient coding experience.
