Job summary

The coder will review provider notes, code to guidelines, assist with charge entry, and help with provider education while maintaining productivity and quality. Epic experience is a plus and the team emphasizes collaboration.

Qualifications

• Requires ICD-10, CM, CPT-4, HCPCS coding experience.
• AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• High School diploma or equivalent is required.

Responsibilities

• Code and abstract professional and facility services per guidelines.
• Enter charges accurately and support fee schedules.
• Query providers to ensure documentation supports codes.
• Assist training of new team members and support peers.
