Job summary

Family Healthcare is seeking a Medical Coder to review clinical documentation and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes across clinic sites, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely claim submission in eClinicalWorks. The role emphasizes strong analytical skills, clear communication with providers, high-volume caseload management, and adherence to payer requirements; remote travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of professional medical coding experience.
• Active medical coding certification required: CPC (AAPC), CCS (AHIMA), or equivalent.
• Proficiency with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Experience with electronic health record systems; eClinicalWorks strongly preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret clinical documentation accurately.

Responsibilities

• Review clinical documentation and assign accurate ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes.
• Ensure coding compliance with federal and payer requirements.
• Support timely, clean claim submission and minimize denials.
• Collaborate with providers for queries and documentation improvement.
• May travel to other sites for work assignments.
