Job summary

Amazon One Medical Senior Health Revenue Cycle team seeks a Medical Coder I to support Clinical and Revenue Cycle teams by reviewing coding accuracy of claims. This role reports to the Manager I, Finance.

The candidate will maintain CPT/ICD-10-CM expertise, assign codes for visits and procedures, and collaborate with the Medicare Risk Operations team to drive program outcomes while meeting One Medical standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in performing accurate and complete chart reviews for profee coding.
• Experience in profee auditing, coding, and documentation requirements.
• AAPC/CCS CPC certification or AHIMA CCS certification.
• 2+ years of medical profee coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple coding projects and meet One Medical standards with timely delivery.
• Stay current on CPT, ICD-10-CM guidelines, AHA Coding Clinic Guidance and CMS Risk Adjustment guidelines.
• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and other codes to visits, procedures, and diagnoses in production.
• Review and complete email requests in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the Medicare Risk Operations team to improve program outcomes.
