Responsibilities

• Code diseases, procedures and operations from EMR for professional and facility services.
• Research codes using HCPCS and coding references to ensure guideline adherence.
• Collaborate with providers for ongoing feedback on coding criteria and guidelines.
• Communicate coding guidelines to providers and serve as a resource for documentation issues.
• Assist in denial resolution and resubmission guidance with the Business Office.
• Monitor daily activity reports to ensure encounters are coded and billed.
