Community Hospital in Grand Junction, CO seeks a full-time Medical Coder to review physician office visit documentation, apply CPT and ICD-10 codes, and ensure compliant, accurate billing.

You will work in the Practice PFS location, maintain high accuracy, meet productivity targets, and collaborate with physicians. CPC certification preferred; high school diploma required. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are included.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with past billing or coding experience preferred.
• Medical coding CPC with AAPC membership or certification within one year of starting position

Responsabilités

• Completes coding per policy and standards.
• Review physician office visit docs to apply CPT/ICD-10 codes.
• Ensure correct and ethical coding per guidelines.
• Communicate with physicians on coding and questions.
• Meet to exceed accuracy and productivity targets.
• Assist with coding reviews as appropriate.
• Follows up on accounts within billing systems.
• Maintain 48-hour turnaround on coding worklist.
• Maintain 95%+ accuracy on CPT/ICD-10 coding.
• Provide timely corrections to denials and questions.
• Write notes in system for every account.
• Escalate issues to supervisor when needed.
