Job description

Vaco is working with a great company looking to add a new Medical Coder to their Louisville, KY team for a short-term project!

Responsibilities:

1. Ensuring correct coding and sequencing per government and insurance regulations.
2. Complying with medical coding guidelines and policies.
3. Reviewing patients' charts and documents for verification and accuracy.
4. Clarifying any unclear information with staff members.
5. Gathering information from physicians to prepare monthly reports.
6. Implementing strategic procedures and evaluation methods for accurate results.
7. Analyzing reported medical malpractice cases to identify procedures, diagnoses, or events leading to negligence.

Requirements:

1. 1-3 years of Medical Coding Experience.
2. CPC Certification.
3. Experience with eClinicalWorks (ECW).
4. Primary Care experience.
5. Remote role, must be in EST time zone, M-F 8-5 hours.
