• Verifies coding accuracy using clinical information and medical terminology to reflect diagnoses and discharge status.
• Queries providers to obtain clarifications for code assignment.
• Ensures correct reimbursement classification and supports billing processes.
• Uses standard software tools (spreadsheets, email, information systems) in coding tasks.
• Spends most time on coding activities and adheres to health information regulations.
