Job summary

Salish Cancer Center in Fife, WA, is seeking a skilled Medical Coder & Biller with oncology experience to join our revenue cycle team. In this on-site, full-time role, you will code ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS for hematology/oncology services, review documentation for accuracy and compliance, and prepare clean claims to maximize reimbursement.

You’ll also investigate denials, support coding audits, and collaborate with clinicians and finance staff to strengthen revenue integrity.

Qualifications

  • Professional coding certification (CPC or CHONC) required, with a minimum of 5 years of professional medical coding and revenue cycle experience.
  • Demonstrated expertise reviewing medical records, physician documentation and independently assigning CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 codes, including oncology, hematology, infusion, specialty coding, oncology pharmaceuticals, and J-code reimbursement.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on billing, denial management, payment posting, and reconciliation experience, including electronic claims submission and knowledge of payer-specific billing requirements.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience reviewing, correcting, and resolving claim errors, coding-related denials, rejected claims, underpayments, and patient account issues, identifying root causes and corrective actions.
  • Strong understanding of medical coding guidelines, payer requirements, documentation standards, and reimbursement practices.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using EHR systems and electronic claims processing platforms, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to coding, billing, and revenue cycle functions.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a skilled Medical Coder & Biller with oncology experience to join our team and play a key role in supporting accurate, compliant, and efficient revenue cycle operations.

What You’ll Do:

In this role, you’ll take ownership of coding and billing processes that directly impact patient care and organizational success. You will:

  • Accurately assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for oncology services, including hematology conditions, chemotherapy, infusions, and immunotherapy

What You Bring:
