Job summary

Solv Billing LLC is seeking a certified Medical Coder to join our remote team across the United States. You will assign CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS codes with high accuracy, review documentation, and support audits for small and mid-sized practices.

We expect 2+ years of production coding experience, active CPC/CCS/CIC/CPC-H or equivalent certification, and strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers. Location is remote; compensation is based on experience and certification level.

Qualifications

• Active medical coding certification is required (CPC, CCS, CIC, CPC-H or equivalent).
• 2+ years of production coding experience across specialties.
• Strong command of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS, including modifiers.

Responsibilities

• Assign CPT, ICD-10-CM and HCPCS codes from clinical documentation with high accuracy.
• Review charts for documentation gaps and query providers when clarification is needed.
• Support clean-claim submission by resolving coding-related edits and denials.
• Perform coding audits and provide feedback to providers and billing staff.
• Stay current on annual code updates, payer policies and modifier requirements.
• Document coding rationale for audit defensibility.
• Advise clients on documentation improvement to protect revenue.

Our clients are small and mid-sized practices where a single coding error is a real denial, an audit exposure, or a patient with an unexpected bill.
