Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group seeks a Medical Program Assistant Associate (MPAA) to join our clinical team in a fast-paced, on-site setting. The role focuses on scheduling, medical records stewardship, and coordinating programs to support patients, staff, and leadership.

You will handle patient scheduling, maintain medical records integrity, manage communications, ensure information governance, and assist with data reporting.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of patient scheduling experience in a clinical setting OR 1 year of hands-on experience as a CNA or MA.
  • Adaptability to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced clinical environment with competing priorities.
  • Meticulous attention to detail with high data-entry accuracy.
  • Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication to collaborate across teams.
  • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and AED training.
  • Work Type: Full-Time Contract Position; On-site in a correctional setting.

Responsibilities

  • Patient Care Scheduling: Coordinate patient appointments and program schedules to ensure efficient clinical workflows and timely care.
  • Medical Records Stewardship: Maintain integrity of the medical records system, including secure organizing, updating, and archiving.
  • Dynamic Communication: Prepare, manage, and distribute administrative correspondence as a clear bridge for the unit.
  • Information Governance: Ensure accurate and timely release of medical information with privacy and regulatory compliance.
  • Data Integration: Keep databases updated and organized to support data retrieval and reporting for governance.
  • First Response Support: Maintain readiness to perform BLS and first aid to ensure patient safety until advanced care arrives.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities

Patient Care Scheduling: Masterfully coordinate patient appointments and program schedules, ensuring clinical workflows run efficiently and patients receive timely care.

Medical Records Stewardship: Maintain the absolute integrity of our medical records system, overseeing the secure organizing, updating, and archiving of critical patient health information.

Dynamic Communication: Professionally prepare, manage, and distribute incoming and outgoing administrative correspondence, acting as a clear communication bridge for the unit.

Information Governance: Facilitate the accurate and timely release of medical information while maintaining strict patient privacy and regulatory compliance.

Data Integration: Keep computer databases up-to-date and organized, providing smooth data retrieval and reporting to support strategic clinical governance.

First Response Support: Maintain immediate readiness to perform life‑saving BLS and first aid to ensure patient safety and comfort within the facility until advanced emergency care arrives.

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Experience Baseline: Minimum of 1 year of patient scheduling experience in a clinical setting OR 1 year of hands‑on experience working as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or Medical Assistant (MA).

Adaptability: Proven ability to thrive and multi‑task within a fast‑paced clinical environment featuring competing priorities.

Precision: Meticulous attention to detail with high data‑entry accuracy.

Communication Excellence: Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills to collaborate successfully across teams.

Life Support: Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) along with completed training in the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).

Work Type: Full‑Time Contract Position.

Work Setting: On‑site, Correctional setting.
