Job summary

Giving Home Health Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Technical Writer to develop accurate medical and claims documentation, translating complex health information into clear narratives for LMNs and related materials.

You will review medical records, ensure medical necessity, and support claims, HHC services, DME, and other benefits while maintaining patient engagement and professional communication throughout the process.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in a healthcare setting required
• Experience reviewing medical records and translating clinical information into written documentation preferred
• Familiarity with healthcare benefits, claims processes, or government healthcare programs preferred
• Knowledge of the Department of Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation (DEEOIC) Program is preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality medical documentation: Draft LMNs, medical narratives, claims documentation and supporting materials.
• Manage a high-volume workload: Prioritize and process 50–60 letters per month while meeting quality and turnaround targets.
• Conduct comprehensive medical record reviews to identify diagnoses, treatments, and functional limitations.
• Translate clinical information into compelling documentation establishing medical necessity.
• Support successful claim outcomes by ensuring completeness and alignment with program requirements.
• Advocate through accurate documentation capturing all eligible conditions and needs.
• Collaborate with patients, healthcare professionals and internal teams to obtain information and close gaps.
• Promote patient engagement and satisfaction through clear, timely communication.
• Maintain documentation quality and compliance with policies and requirements.
