Job summary

Signature Performance, Inc. is seeking a Follow Up Specialist to diligently pursue outstanding insurance claims and ensure timely reimbursements.

This on-site role in Brewster, Washington requires reviewing EOBs, contacting payers, and collaborating with billing and clinical teams to obtain necessary documentation. You will monitor aging reports, prioritize tasks by deadlines, and adhere to payer guidelines while maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical billing, insurance follow-up, or revenue cycle operations.
• Knowledge of CPT/ICD coding and healthcare terminology.
• Experience with EHRs and billing systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work independently.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Follow up on assigned insurance claims to ensure timely and accurate payment.
• Review EOBs and remittance advice for accuracy and status.
• Contact insurers via phone, portals, or mail to resolve issues.
• Identify and appeal denied or underpaid claims per payer guidelines.
• Collaborate with billing, coding, and clinical staff to obtain needed documentation.
• Update patient accounts with follow-up actions and outcomes.
• Monitor aging reports and prioritize work based on deadlines.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and payer policies.
• Participate in meetings, training, and quality improvement initiatives.
