Job summary

MyMichigan Health is seeking a dedicated environmental services associate to perform routine linen cleaning and sanitation across the Medical Center and related properties.

You will follow written procedures, operate cleaning equipment, and handle soiled linens and waste in a safe, compliant manner, with attention to infection control and patient safety. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and be able to stand, lift up to 50 lbs, and participate in OSHA training annually.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Mandatory OSHA training completed annually.
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
• Must follow written and oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine cleaning tasks according to procedures, guidelines, checklists and verbal requests.
• Cleans and services rooms, areas, facilities and equipment.
• Operates cleaning chemicals and cleaning tools safely.
• Removes and transports soiled linen and waste throughout the facility.
• Performs additional cleaning duties and education as assigned.
