Responsibilities

1. Supervises the delivery of patient care within an assigned unit and recommends clinical quality improvement efforts.
2. Ensures proper documentation and appropriate care, provides emergency treatment on-site, and responds appropriately in urgent or emergency situations.
3. Assists with managing staffing needs, scheduling, and callouts.
4. Serves as a liaison and consults with medical providers, recommending treatment protocols to align with healthcare standards and policies.
5. Assists with onsite trainings, evaluations, and monthly staff meetings.
6. Ensures compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
7. Maintains accurate records, identifies potential problems, and proposes corrective actions as needed.
8. Performs other duties as assigned to support the organization's goals, objectives, and values.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of progressively responsible experience and two years of leadership and management experience.
• Must have and maintain current RN licensure within the State of Georgia.
• Valid BLS Certification.
• Preferred: Completion of a BSN degree and experience in a correctional facility.

Physical & Other Requirements

• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds, stand, walk, sit, and work with hands for extended periods.
• Background check required.
