Munson Healthcare Careers is seeking a Medical Business Specialist (Receptionist) in Cadillac, MI. You will be the first contact for patients and families, handling registration and appointment scheduling to ensure a smooth experience.

Requirements include a high school diploma (associate degree preferred) and 2 years in a medical setting, with proficiency in typing, Windows, and multiple computer systems. Vaccinations are required per policy.

A Day inthe Life

• As a Medical Business Specialist (Receptionist), you are the first point of contact for patients & their families. Your personal interaction and efficiency start the path for an exceptional experience of care, wellness, and healing.

• You will obtain/verifyall required patient and insurance informationand enterthe information into the registration system in an accurate manner.

• You will schedulepatient appointments which may include return office visits, referrals, diagnostic testing/procedures.

• You will set the tone forthe visit! You will greetpatients professionally in person and over the telephone and respond effectively to patients and their families.

Qualifications

What’s Required - Specialist

• High school graduate or GED. Associate Degree Preferred

• A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as a Medical Practice Business Associate or working in a similar healthcare role.

• Proficient in typing, Windows, and experience with multiple computer systems.

What’s Required - Associate

• High school graduate or GED

• 6 months to 1 year Customer Service experience required. Usually achieved by previously working with the public with minimal supervision.
