Saint Anthony Hospital in Chicago, IL is seeking an Insurance Representative for the Pro Fee Billing Department. This full-time, day-shift role involves billing, follow-up and collection activities for patient accounts, with a focus on timely electronic claim submission and payer communications.

The ideal candidate has knowledge of CMS, Medicaid, managed care and commercial billing, with prior billing experience.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CMS, Medicaid, Managed Care, and Commercial billing and collection laws.
• Ability to read and understand provider contracts.
• Knowledge of system support issues that affect billing, collection, and cash application functions.
• Previous billing experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Assists with claims downloaded from the host system.
• Prepares and prints daily and weekly production, management and system reports.
• Ensures claims are transmitted electronically each day to the payer.
• Researches and corrects claims rejected by editing software and submits timely.
• Collects outstanding third-party balances and contacts payers to resolve unpaid amounts.
• Enforces payment, charity, bad debt and write-off policies; posts adjustments as required.
• Uses system tools to prioritize and report work; completes daily/weekly productivity reports.
