Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in medical billing or revenue cycle management.
• Experience in a healthcare office setting is required.
• Understanding of insurance eligibility verification and authorizations.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient insurance eligibility, benefits and coverage information.
• Follow up on accounts receivable to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Enter charges, demographics and billing information accurately.
• Explain estimated financial responsibility to patients and collect payments per EOC guidelines.
• Research and resolve billing questions, claim discrepancies and payment issues.
• Support daily billing operations and ensure compliance with procedures.
