Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in medical billing, preferably in a high-growth or fast-paced environment.
• Strong working knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance guidelines, and claim submission processes.
• Proficiency in ICD-10 coding systems and policies.
• Experience with electronic/clearinghouse billing software and health plan websites.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Impeccable attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• A self-starter mindset—able to work independently, meet deadlines, and maintain attendance.

Responsibilities

• Performing charge entry, confirming patient registration, and processing claims
• Managing patient aging reports and assisting with patient balance collections
• Handling patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy
• Following up on medical claims to ensure timely reimbursement
