Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a Medical Billing Specialist in Springfield, IL to join a confidential healthcare billing organization. You will manage high-volume claims, verify benefits, resolve denials, and ensure accurate ICD-10 coding and compliance.

You will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure timely reimbursement, handle patient balances, and maintain billing data quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Proven success in claim resolution and follow-up.
• MediClear Certification or HIPAA privacy certification.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10 and medical billing procedures.
• Familiarity with medical terminology, coding guidelines, and collection processes.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment and meet quotas.
• EPIC experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work aged accounts, verify insurance benefits, and resolve outstanding claims.
• Review, correct, and resubmit denied claims to ensure timely reimbursement.
• Manage unpaid patient balances and follow medical collection best practices.
• Apply accurate ICD-10 coding for diagnoses and procedures.
• Process daily medical billing for services rendered by providers.
• Handle refund requests and maintain compliance with billing and coding regulations.
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure complete and accurate billing data.
• Confirm insurance coverage and obtain authorizations when needed.
