Job summary

DaMar Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team in the United States. The role focuses on processing and managing billing for workers' comp, MVA, commercial, Medicare and Medicaid, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and HIPAA compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of medical billing experience, knowledge of CPT/ICD-10/HCPCS coding, and proficiency with billing software such as Claim MD. This is a part-time, in-person position with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of medical billing experience; coding experience preferred.
• Experience with billing for Workers' Comp, MVA, Commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid.
• Proficiency in CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS coding and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit billing data and medical claims to insurance companies.
• Review patient bills for accuracy and completeness; obtain missing information.
• Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle.
• Identify and bill secondary or tertiary insurances.
• Analyze and appeal denied claims.
• Handle patient or insurer inquiries about accounts.
• Establish payment arrangements with patients; monitor payments.
• Perform collection actions including contacting patients and resubmitting claims.
• Complete billing audits.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
