Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum of 2 years of billing experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of office software and office equipment.
• Ability to learn quickly and adapt to payer, Medicaid, State, or funding source changes.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in billing and payment posting.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Review rejected claims for errors, correct and resubmit to payers.
• Receive EOBs, research denial reasons, and resubmit as needed.
• Process remittances and post payments to accounts.
• Contact insurance companies regarding delinquent accounts and claim status.
• Assist with daily, weekly, and monthly billing reports.
• Maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
