Las Vegas Urology seeks a patient-focused Medical Billing Specialist to join multiple clinics across Las Vegas. You will post charges, manage AR, and follow up with insurers on denials and underpayments, ensuring timely monthly reports and coordination with management.

Responsibilities include batch importing from EHR, reviewing charges, and communicating with patients and insurers. Must have 1–3 years in medical billing and be proficient with CPT/ICD-10 codes and HIPAA.

Formación

• Experience in medical billing/collection and coding practices.
• Familiar with CPT/ICD-10 codes.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and basic office equipment.
• Ability to read and comprehend explanation of benefits (EOBs).
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Strong communication and telephone etiquette.

Responsabilidades

• Post charges and manage accounts receivable for the charges entered.
• Follow up with insurance on denials and underpayments; review monthly AR reports.
• Identify charge batches, import from EHR to PM system, and verify accuracy.
• Monitor and correct vouchers; process credit card payments upfront.
• Call insurers to research claims, dispute denials, submit appeals and obtain payments.
• Enter lab charges and maintain related spreadsheets.
• Prepare accounts for outside collections and complete monthly AR reporting.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines and company policy.
