Job summary

Paycom in Utah is hiring for a full-time Medical Billing/Billing Specialist focused on accounts receivable, patient statements, and insurance follow-up. The role requires high school or equivalent and 1–3 years of healthcare coding/billing experience.

You will work with ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding, prepare Medicare reports, and ensure compliant billing practices while maintaining accuracy and timely collections.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant healthcare billing/coding experience preferred.
• 1–3 years of healthcare billing/coding experience; CPC/COC/RHIA/RHIT certifications preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding systems; working with Medicare/bad debt reporting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Answer calls from patients or insurers with account questions.
• Locate and notify delinquent accounts to solicit payment and record financial statuses.
• Prepare and mail patient statements and maintain Medicare cost reports.
• Ensure compliance with billing policies and federal/state guidelines.
• Process and file claims, follow up on rejections, and monitor accounts receivable.
