Job summary

White House Clinics is seeking a Billing Specialist to ensure accurate submission of claims to private insurers, Medicare, Medicaid and self-pay patients. You will collaborate with payors, providers, and patients to resolve paid and denied claims, process payments, and manage EOBs and statements.

The role requires knowledge of insurance workflows, HIPAA privacy, and accurate coding (ICD-10, CPT/CPT-HCPC). Strong communication and attention to detail are essential for success in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable of insurance and reimbursement processes.
• HIPAA privacy requirements for patient information.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Understanding of ICD-10 and CPT/HCPC billing codes.
• Proficient in medical terminology.
• Strong telephone and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit clean claims electronically or on paper to various insurers.
• Collaborate with insurance companies, providers, and patients to get claims paid.
• Process payments from insurance companies and appeal unpaid/denied claims.
• Handle EOBs, statements, and patient inquiries about balances.
• Perform collection actions and establish payment plans when needed.
• Complete credentialing and re-credentialing of providers as required.
