Job summary

The Family Place in Vermont is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable and Billing Specialist to maintain accurate financial records and maximize billing efficiency.

You will manage AR and billing processes, prepare bank deposits, monitor aging AR, submit Medicaid and private insurance claims, produce monthly billing reports, and assist with year-end close and audits, in collaboration with the Finance Director and Executive Director.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Accounting or 3+ years accounting experience.
• 2+ years experience billing Medicaid and private health insurance.
• 1+ years experience using Vermont's Gainwell Billing System (preferred).
• Certificate in Medical Billing and Coding (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Maintain AR and billing system records and ensure accuracy.
• Prepare and submit Medicaid/private insurance billing monthly.
• Generate billing reports and support CIS/CACFP billing workflows.
• Assist with year-end closing, audits, and financial reporting.
• Participate in agency trainings on equity and other topics.
