Job summary

AccessHealth is seeking an experienced Billing Auditor to verify medical, dental, behavioral, and hospital claims and ensure timely electronic submission. You will apply payments and adjustments, monitor AR aging, and stay current with Medicaid, Medicare, CHIP, and other payers.

You will also prepare appeals for denied claims and coordinate with HCS staff on information quality and regulatory changes. You will support the team by improving AR processes, communicating effectively with all levels,

Qualifications

• Two years of work experience in a medical office environment.
• Knowledge of CPT, ICD-9, ICD-10 and HCPCS coding.
• Familiarity with Medicaid/Medicare and third‑party payers.
• HIPAA compliance and professional communication required.
• Experience with practice management systems and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Audit medical and dental claims for accuracy and timely submission.
• Manage application of payments and adjustments for AR records.
• Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding items.
• Review payer rules; stay current with state/federal changes.
• Appeal or resubmit denied claims and communicate issues to supervision.
