Children's Orthopaedic and Scoliosis Surgery Assoc is hiring a billing professional to research and resolve insurance balances, review denials, and manage appeals. The role requires coordination with front desk and payer staff and a focus on accurate A/R follow-up. The position is on-site at our St.

Petersburg or Tampa office, 8:30 a.m.–5:00 p.m., with potential hybrid after 90 days. Onboarding is 90 days with system training and payer processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in medical billing and accounts receivable management.
• Proficient in denial management and payer communications.
• Ability to prepare and submit appeals and corrections.

Responsabilités

• Research and resolve outstanding insurance balances via payer portals and direct contacts.
• Review claim rejections/denials and submit corrected claims, reconsiderations, and appeals.
• Investigate underpayments using payer policies and fee schedules.
• Prepare appeal letters with documentation and payer requirements.
• Maintain accurate account notes and track follow-up and deadlines.
• Apply contractual adjustments and manage secondary insurance billing.
• Coordinate with verification, front desk, and charge entry to resolve errors.
• Identify denial patterns to improve workflows and edits.
• Assist with A/R reporting and elevate unresolved issues to management.
• Respond professionally to patient and insurance inquiries about balances.
