Frederick Primary Care Associates, P.A. is seeking a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist to join our team in Frederick, MD. The role focuses on accurate CPT/ICD-10 coding, updating patient demographics and insurance, and handling calls with professionalism.

This full-time, on-site position offers a structured schedule and may transition to a hybrid arrangement after the initial 60 days based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Three (3) years of billing experience in a healthcare organization or setting.
• CPC certification required.
• Primary Care Billing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Enter CPT and ICD 10 codes accurately and expeditiously to ensure proper records handling
• Update patient demographic and insurance information as needed
• Assist and resolve patient inbound calls in a timely and courteous manner
• Process updated information for claims to reprocess and ensure timely payment
• Maintain professional communication with providers and other staff
• Other duties as assigned

Hourly Pay: $21-23 per hour depending on experience

Additional Compensation: Annual bonuses (variable depending on office and performance)

Schedule: Full Time (4 - 10 hour shifts)

This position requires full-time, on-site attendance during the first 60 days of employment. Following this period, this role may have the opportunity to transition to a hybrid work arrangement, including one in-office day per week, based on performance.

Medical Billing and Coding Specialist Essential Job Responsibilities:
