Job summary

The Women’s Healthcare Group in Overland Park, KS is seeking a Full-Time Medical Biller/Coder for our OBGYN practice. You will apply CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS codes for claims, verify insurance, and manage patient accounts with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Review delinquent accounts and pursue collections.
• Conduct medical billing audits.
• Handle insurance inquiries/appeals for unpaid claims.

Medical Biller/Coder - OBGYN The Women's Healthcare Group is a privately-owned, OBGYN practice located in Overland Park, Kansas. Our reputation is based upon providing the highest standard of medical care with a personal touch. We provide comprehensive female health care for medical conditions both in the inpatient and outpatient setting. We want to add a Full Time Medical Biller/Coder to our team!

DUTIES & Responsibilities:

• Reviewing and interpreting provider patient appointment documentation and applying CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes for claims submission.
• Reviewing and interpreting provider operative notes, outpatient, inpatient, and observation notes and applying CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS codes for claims submission.
• Verify insurance eligibility and benefits for OBGYN services.
• Establish payment plans for obstetrical accounts.
• Collect, post, and manage patient account payments.
• Review delinquent accounts and call for collection purposes.
• Performs medical billing audits.
• Perform insurance inquiries/appeals for non-paid claims/services.

Starting wage range: $22-$24.50/hour

EDUCATION & Experience:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
• CPC Certification
• EMR experience preferred
• 1-2 Years of Medical Billing Experience Required
