Job summary

Premier Neurology and Pain Specialists is seeking an experienced medical biller to join our neurology and pain management team. The ideal candidate will have strong medical billing and coding skills to increase collections and reduce A/R days by effectively handling denied claims, with excellent communication and professionalism.

Responsibilities include aging analysis, interpreting EOBs, re-verification, and performing payer guidelines research to submit appeals as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in CPT and ICD-10 coding.
• Claims appeal and resolution experience.
• Payment posting and accounts receivable knowledge.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
• EMR experience preferred Epic.
• 2 years medical billing experience.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing and coding, with the skills necessary to increase collections and reduce A/R days by effectively working denied claims. The successful applicant must have excellent communication skills, be a great team player and demonstrate a high level of professionalism.

• Monitor aging to ensure timely follow-up of claims resolution, reduction of future denials, ensuring accurate payment and escalation of issues to management as identified
• Must be able to interpret payer explanation of benefits (EOBs) to ensure proper reimbursement of claims, and report any problems, issues, or payer trends to management
• Conduct insurance re-verification as needed through various tools and initiate billings to a new payer or reprocess the claim accordingly, or bill patient
• Research payer guidelines and write and submit appeals as appropriate
