Modena Health is seeking a Medical Billing and Coding Specialist in the United States. You will review provider documentation for accuracy, assign ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS codes for visits, procedures and tests, and prepare and submit clean claims to insurers.

You will monitor claim status, handle denials, rebills and appeals, ensuring timely reimbursement and HIPAA compliance. Preferred candidates have experience in allergy, immunology or related specialties and familiarity with EMR and

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 2 years of medical billing and coding experience
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and medical terminology
• Experience with claim submission, payment posting, denial management and insurance billing
• Proficiency with EMR and practice management software
• Strong attention to detail, communication and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

• CPC, CCS, CPB or equivalent certification
• Experience coding allergy testing, immunotherapy and respiratory procedures
• Previous remote medical billing and coding experience
