Job summary

Gupta Medical Center / Ramona Specialists in San Jacinto, CA is seeking a medical biller to own the billing cycle from claim submission to posting, denial management, and AR follow-up.

The role requires IEHP, Medi-Cal and commercial payer billing experience, plus familiarity with eClinicalWorks and CPT/ICD-10 coding. HIPAA compliance is essential; work a Monday–Friday schedule with part- or full-time options.

Qualifications

• Medical billing experience preferred.

• Experience with CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Experience with claim scrubbing, EOB/ERA review, denial management and appeals.
• Detail-oriented with accurate posting and strong organization.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, scrub, and submit clean claims (IEHP, Medi-Cal, Medicare, commercial).
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately.
• Review EOBs and ERAs; reconcile against expected reimbursement.
• Work denials, rejections, and underpayments: correct, resubmit, appeal.
• Follow up on outstanding A/R; keep days-in-A/R within target.
• Handle patient billing inquiries professionally.
• Verify coding accuracy; coordinate with providers on documentation gaps.
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality standards.

Who We're Looking For

Experienced medical biller who can own the billing cycle end-to-end, from clean claim submission through posting, denial management, and A/R follow-up. Must know IEHP, Medicare, and commercial payers.

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare, scrub, and submit clean claims (IEHP, Medi-Cal MC, Medicare, Medicare Advantage, commercial)
• Post insurance and patient payments accurately
• Review EOBs and ERAs; reconcile against expected reimbursement
• Work denials, rejections, and underpayments: correct, resubmit, appeal
• Follow up on outstanding A/R; keep days-in-A/R within target
• Handle patient billing inquiries professionally

• Experience with claim scrubbing, EOB/ERA review, denial management, and appeals
• Detail-oriented with accurate posting skills
• Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
• Familiarity with HIPAA requirements
• $18–$22/hour, based on experience
