Qualifications

Do you have experience as a medical billing professional with experience using systems just as SmartCare or something similar? Do you have experience billing third parties for homecare? We are looking for a billing systems specialist for a new job opportunity in San Francisco, CA? The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, medical billing experience, and be able to thrive in a team-environment.

Responsibilities:

• Process and manage medical billing for third-party payers, including financial management service organizations.
• Determine Medicare eligibility and ensure compliance with payer requirements.
• Prepare, submit, and track Medicare and other insurance claims.
• Research, resolve, and follow up on billing discrepancies and denials.
• Maintain accurate patient billing records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate billing and reimbursement.
• Support process improvements and billing system maintenance initiatives.

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of medical billing experience in a healthcare or home care environment.
• Experience billing third-party payers and financial management services.
• Working knowledge of Medicare regulations, eligibility verification, and claims processing.
• Strong understanding of medical billing workflows, reimbursement processes, and compliance requirements.
• Experience using an EHR system.
• Experience with SmartCare is highly preferred.
• Experience with Netsmart, Qualifacts, Foothold, or similar healthcare EHR platforms is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
