Job summary

The Intersect Group seeks a detail‑oriented hospital billing specialist to join our healthcare revenue cycle team in Phoenix. You will build, review, and submit clean hospital claims, resolve edits and rejections, and ensure payer compliance across multiple systems.

Qualified candidates will have 3+ years of hospital billing experience and strong knowledge of UB-04, DRGs, and type of bills. This on-site role offers a hybrid work setting with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospital billing experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of UB-04 billing, DRGs, inpatient/outpatient billing.
• Ability to manage high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit clean UB-04 hospital claims, electronic and paper.
• Review and resolve claim edits, denials, rejections, and return mail issues.
• Analyze billing data, coding, DRGs, type of bills, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy.
• Maintain compliance with payer, CMS, and regulatory billing requirements.
• Research and update demographic, insurance, and account information to facilitate payment.
• Navigate multiple billing, registration, and payer systems to manage high-volume workflows.
• Prioritize accounts effectively to maximize turnaround times and claim accuracy.

Join a fast-paced healthcare revenue cycle team focused on front-end claim generation and billing accuracy. This role is responsible for building, reviewing, and submitting clean hospital claims, resolving billing edits and rejections, and ensuring compliance with payer and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit clean UB-04 hospital claims, both electronic and paper.
• Review and resolve claim edits, denials, rejections, and return mail issues.
• Analyze billing data, coding, DRGs, type of bills, and supporting documentation to ensure accurate claim submission.
• Maintain compliance with payer, CMS, and regulatory billing requirements.
• Research and update demographic, insurance, and account information to facilitate payment.
• Navigate multiple billing, registration, and payer systems to manage high-volume workflows.
• Prioritize accounts effectively to maximize turnaround times and claim accuracy.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hospital billing experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of UB-04 billing, DRGs, inpatient/outpatient billing, type of bills, and interim billing.
• Experience resolving claim edits and producing clean claims for submission.
• Ability to manage a high-volume workload while maintaining accuracy.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working across multiple systems and technologies.
• Must be able to work on-site in Phoenix every Wednesday.

Preferred

• Experience with high-dollar hospital claims.
• Experience using hospital billing, clearinghouse, EOB, and payer portal systems.
