Job summary

The coordinator supports authorizations through technical authorization and payment cycles and works with a busy call center.

Responsibilities include creating authorizations, verifying member eligibility, coding services, and maintaining data accuracy to meet service levels.

Qualifications

• 2 years in health care experience or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Knowledge of medical terminology and utilization review systems.

Responsibilities

• Process and create authorization requests for emergency and elective admissions and outpatient services.
• Confirm eligibility via internal systems and notify case managers of changes.
• Enter data accurately in the Medical Management System and provider portal.
• Ensure timely completion and follow up on all authorizations per guidelines.
• Provide professional customer service to members and providers.
