UNTWN Uniontown Hospital is seeking a Medical Assistant to support licensed clinicians in a busy outpatient setting. You will greet patients, obtain vitals, prepare exam rooms, and assist with exams and procedures, while handling scheduling, referrals, and documentation.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a Medical Assistant program (or 1 year clinical experience), and BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Medical Assistant Program or 1 year clinical experience.
  • Obtain BLS certification within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and escort patients to exam rooms and obtain initial information and vitals.
  • Prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies and cleanliness.
  • Assist with and perform exams, tests, and procedures as needed.
  • Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals when required.
  • Assist provider during examinations and procedures.
  • Educate patients on follow-up expectations.
  • Maintain quality control testing logs as required.
  • Ensure all medical equipment is in proper working order.
  • Assist patients with completing medical documentation and perform admin tasks.
  • Handle office tasks such as answering phones, data entry, and deposits.
