South College Nashville Campus invites applications for the Adjunct Faculty Member for Medical Assisting with a focus on Phlebotomy. The instructor will provide classroom and clinical instruction for Phlebotomy under quarter‑by‑quarter appointments.

Candidates must hold a Tennessee Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification and have a Bachelor’s degree, plus a minimum of 3 years’ phlebotomy experience. Teaching excellence is preferred, with sections offered day, evening, and on weekends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required and transcripts must be provided.
  • Must hold current Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification in Tennessee and provide certification copy.
  • Minimum of 3 years full‑time phlebotomy experience in the past 7 years (venipuncture, blood collection, lab processing, ABG, and special specimen procurement).
  • Excellence in postsecondary teaching preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide instruction for Phlebotomy courses as part of Medical Assisting at South College Nashville Campus.
  • Prepare and deliver lectures and labs; ensure venipuncture procedures meet clinical and hospital standards.
  • Schedule courses in day, evening, and weekend blocks and participate in program activities.

South College invites applications for the position of Adjunct Faculty Member for Medical Assisting at the South College Nashville Campus. The Adjunct Faculty Member will provide instruction for courses needed in Phlebotomy on quarter‑by‑quarter appointments. Candidates must be familiar with Phlebotomy theory, skills, and special procedures required to meet the venipuncture needs in hospitals, clinical, and other health‑care settings. Sections are available in the day, evening, and on weekends.

Requirements
Education
  • A minimum of an acceptable Bachelor’s degree.
  • Must provide a copy of transcript.
Licensure
  • Have completed a program of postsecondary education in Phlebotomy and hold a current Certified Phlebotomy Technician certification in the state of Tennessee.
  • Must provide a copy of certification.
Experience
  • Minimum of 3 years full‑time phlebotomy experience in the previous 7 years (venipuncture, blood collection, lab processing, ABG, and special specimen procurement).
  • Excellence in postsecondary teaching preferred.
