Job description

Mt. Baker Pain Clinic located in Bellingham, Washington is seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant/X‑Ray Technician to join our growing medical team. We specialize in the treatment of back, neck, and joint pain, sciatica, cancer‑related pain, and other chronic pain conditions. Our mission is to help patients regain control of their lives through individualized, patient‑centered pain management plans.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Operate C-Arm imaging equipment during procedures in our surgery center
  • Prepare procedure rooms and maintain strict sterile techniques
  • Sterilize medical equipment and operate autoclave
  • Room patients and assist providers in clinic
  • Create, update, and maintain accurate patient PHI within the EMR
  • Deliver high‑quality patient care through in‑person, telephone, and electronic communication
  • Work collaboratively with providers and clinical staff to support patient flow
Qualifications
  • Dependable and punctual
  • Able to work independently with limited supervision while anticipating workflow needs
  • Adaptable, flexible, and team‑oriented
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Knowledge of human anatomy is a plus
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to wear a lead apron (approximately 15 lbs) while standing for a 10‑hour shift
Education & Competencies
  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • MA or NA Certification through the Washington State Department of Health (Must be willing to obtain X‑Ray Certification through on‑the‑job training)
  • Strong computer skills
  • Excellent vocabulary, spelling, and punctuation
  • Previous CMA or CNA experience preferred (Willing to train the right candidate to obtain MA‑R)
