Job summary

GoHealth Urgent Care is seeking a Medical Assistant with X-Ray to support physicians, radiologic technologists, and patients at our center. You will manage patient care, organize workflow, and report x-ray results to providers as part of a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Assistant experience preferred.
• Experience performing x-rays preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required at time of hire (ARC or AHA).
• CCMA, CMA, RMA, NCMA, NRCMA, or equivalent certifications considered at hire.
• State-specific X-ray certification/licensure where required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for limited x-ray services as needed.
• Handle patient registration, insurance documentation and eligibility verification.
• Prepare patients for examination and record medical history.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up with providers.
• Perform point-of-care testing as needed (flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG).
• Maintain exam rooms, front desk and supply inventory.
• Maintain medical records and perform administrative duties (phones, mail, opening/closing duties).
• Follow QA/QC procedures and report equipment issues as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
