Job summary

Inova-GoHealth Urgent Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant with X-Ray to support providers, radiology staff, and patients. You will perform limited X-ray procedures, register patients, and assist with examinations while upholding our care-focused values.

You should have a Medical Assistant program graduate with BLS, and prefer prior MA/x-ray experience. This on-site role emphasizes teamwork and patient-centered service across our urgent care centers.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant Program preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience performing x-rays preferred.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for limited x-ray services as needed.
• Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy using established procedures and safety protocols.
• Ensure patients are positioned correctly and protected during use.
• Patient Registration: secure paperwork and insurance documentation; verify coverage and eligibility; process co-pays and schedule appointments.
• Prepare patients for examination and record vital signs as needed; assist in care and communication with providers.
• Stock exam rooms and maintain reception areas; manage supply inventory and expiration dates.
• Maintenance of medical records and scanning; answer calls and manage correspondence.
• Follow instructions to document daily controls and calibrations; maintain QA/QC logs; submit repair tickets as needed.
• All other duties as assigned.
