Job summary

UPMC-GoHealth Urgent Care, LLC is seeking a Medical Assistant with X-Ray duties to support providers, radiologic technologists and patients. You will perform limited X-ray procedures and help manage patient care, with a focus on accuracy and timely service.

You will handle patient registration, rooming, basic testing, and scheduling while maintaining records, inventory and a safe, clean workflow. Strong teamwork, communication and adherence to safety standards are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Medical Assistant program preferred, or high school diploma with relevant certification.
• BLS certification required at time of hire.
• Certifications such as CCMA/CMA/RMA/NCMA/NRCMA required at hire or equivalent nursing credentials.
• State-specific X-ray licensure requirements vary.

Responsibilities

• Perform limited x-ray services under clinical supervision.
• Register patients and verify insurance.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate referrals.
• Assist with patient prep and rooming.
• Stock exam rooms and maintain supplies.
• Maintain medical records and ensure courtesy calls.
• Open/close duties and secure the building.
