Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take vitals on all patients as required.
• Update patient information as needed.
• Assist patients as necessary.
• Able to give injections and vaccinations to patients.
• Maintain organized, clean exam rooms and sterilize equipment.
• Organize and arrange examining-room instruments and equipment, purchase and maintain supplies and equipment, and keep waiting and examining rooms neat and clean.
• Document the visit and services performed in EMR software; stay attentive during patient visits.
• Schedule procedures in-office or with surgical centers; verify times with patients; prepare charts and consent forms.
• Counsel patients by transmitting physician's orders and explaining treatment procedures and medications to patients.
• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Coordinate with medical facilities to schedule tests or admissions.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative discharge care.
