MedEvals in Topeka, KS is seeking a Medical Assistant to support VA claim exams and clinic operations. You will blend administrative and clinical tasks, including preparing charts, recording vital signs, drawing blood, performing EKG/PFT/ABI, and guiding veterans through the visit.

The role requires strong organization, attention to detail, and proficiency with medical procedures and Office 365. The position offers daytime hours and a patient-focused, purpose-driven work environment.

Formación

• Interview patients to obtain medical histories.
• Prepare clinical charts and IMO research prior to appointment.
• Update medical records and billing reports.
• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms and instruments.
• Escort claimants to examination rooms.
• Send diagnostics to facilities for processing.
• Record vital signs and patient data.
• Collaborate with supervisor for scheduling.
• Draw blood samples.
• Perform EKG, PFT, ABI as directed.
• Prescreen visitors and manage check-in/out.
• Follow infection control policies.
• Operate office equipment and phones.
• Inventory management and supply ordering.

Responsabilidades

• Interview patients to obtain comprehensive medical histories.
• Prepare clinical charts and conduct Medical Opinion (IMO) research prior to the claimant's appointment.
• Update and maintain medical records and billing reports, adhering to privacy regulations.
• Prepare and sanitize exam rooms and medical instruments.
• Escort and guide claimants to examination rooms.
• Send all ordered diagnostics to appropriate facilities.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Collaborate with the Supervisor to ensure smooth clinic operations.
• Perform blood draws for diagnostics.
• Conduct EKGs, PFTs, and ABI as directed.
• Assist with prescreening and check-in/check-out for veterans.
• Comply with Infection Control policies and maintain clean environment.
• Operate office equipment and communication devices.
• Assist in inventory management and supply ordering.
