Job summary

Duly Health and Care is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Vascular Surgery team in Joliet, IL. The role supports physicians, performs exams, and conducts basic lab testing across clinics with occasional travel to Naperville, Elmhurst and Lockport locations.

Responsibilities include patient registration, vital signs, immunizations if needed, and chart updates. A Medical Assistant program or health sciences background is preferred, with CPR and certification requirements as applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program or higher education in health sciences or related experience required.
• Active medical assistant certification through AMT, NCCT, NHA, ARMA, or AAMA may be required for certain specialties.
• CPR certification or willingness to certify upon hire.
• Phlebotomy certification may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Prior MA/CMA/CNA/EMT experience or 2 years of medical office patient care experience.
• Electronic medical record experience preferred.
• Health sciences graduates may apply.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and assist with registration, scheduling, vital signs, and health history.
• Support physicians during examinations, minor procedures, dressings, and other first aid.
• May assist with immunizations or injections.
• Assist with prescriptions and pharmacy communication; update charts and filing.
• Perform onsite lab tests (EKG, pulmonary function, glucose, urine pregnancy tests).
• Maintain clean, welcoming examination rooms and exemplify CARE values.
• Some travel to assist other local clinics may be required.

Additional compensation may be available through shift differentials, bonuses, and other incentives. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package.
